Halloween/Fall stuff

Even though Halloween isn't until this weekend, there have been several Halloween/Fall activities for us during the past week.

First, Kaden got a Halloween package from Grandpa Bruce and Grandma Sherri. He LOVES getting the mail and was excited to open the box. Usually when we come in from getting the mail he starts telling me "open, open, open" (which, for some reason, sounds like onk-ka-konk)and after I hand him a piece of junk mail, he'll go and open it and bring it back to me.

Thank you Grandpa Bruce and Grandpa Sherri for the great books, bowl, utensils, candy, and other fun stuff! Kaden colored his picture and we took them to Old Navy last week, but haven't heard anything, so I'm guessing he wasn't a winner! Bummer.

The Raleigh Parks and Rec put on a Halloween Trail last Friday night. Kaden went on a hayride, made a couple crafts, and watched some skits that were way over his head.

Kaden goes to The Little Gym every Sunday. He has SO much fun and has learned a lot by going. On Saturday they had the kids come in their costumes (he came during the 1-2 age group) and they had a few stations set up and a few games. Kaden absolutely LOVED it. He was crazy excited the whole time -- it was like the monkey costume made him invincible to getting hurt!! He got to invite a friend, so of course he invited Marie. She dressed up as Elmo!!

The kids were told to get a scarf. After the activity was over, most kids just dropped their scarves. Kaden went around and collected them.
