Happy May Day!

In honor of May Day, and the fact that Matt has a test tomorrow which means I have to be quiet and entertain myself on the computer, here are some more pictures from the last couple days. Kaden has become such a busy boy (even more so than before!). He's starting to take more and more steps everyday. I love when he takes off -- with his arms in the air -- and the expression on his face. He's so proud of himself and looks like he's having so much fun. He's a very graceful faller, too...slowly going to his knees and then continues on crawling. He's still observant as ever. The other day I was at the grocery store and Kaden kept reaching for my credit card. I gave it to him and he immediately tried to put it in the machine to check out. I was shocked he knew what to do! He pays attention to EVERY detail, even when I don't realize he's looking. His new favorite game is to unzip any and all zippers he can spy and to open the drawer to the end table (the entire inch that he can since it's baby-proofed). He's in such a great routine now and loves playing outside. We go for a walk every morning and then play in the backyard in the afternoon. Today Matt was home early and we decided to go for a walk after only being outside 10 minutes. Kaden instantly crawled right back inside his sandbox. He was clearly not ready to leave.

One of the days this week it rained all day. Marie & Kaden hated it since that meant they were trapped inside all day. They discovered a fun game called peekaboo using the back door. They laughed and smiled at one another for so long.

On the day of rain, we also painted/colored/fingerpainted. This was the first time Kaden had ever fingerpainted.

He loved it, as he does any craft activity!

Juliet started on Monday. She's such a sweet baby and it's fun having a baby around again. Kaden is in love with her. His face lights up when he sees me carry her down the steps after her nap. He gets excited when she arrives in the morning. He wants to watch her all the time, and tries to share his toys with her. I know he's very confused on why she won't hold the toys he's handing her. At times he's not sure about sharing his mom so much, but he's doing better each day. Juliet was in the swing and he was gently putting books beside her. He also tries to stand and swing the swing when she's in it. He'll make a great big brother some day! (in the very distant future!)

Kaden's been drooling SO much lately. I'm thinking molar #3 (tooth #11) is on it's way. After drooling through his shirt, I decided he was due for dry clothes. He also needed his diaper changed, and since he's been having a very faint diaper rash the last week, I let him play diaperless for awhile (I was crossing my fingers for no accident!). He had so much fun, and I couldn't resist to not take pictures!

Sesame Street was on TV--- apparently it was funny

Juliet and Kaden are friends already - he looks so big next to her (and we all know he's can't be described as "big")

The drawer that Kaden has found holds several decks of cards. He thinks it's great fun to pull them all out. Marie thought Kaden was a genius when she saw the fun playing cards could be.

Trying to figure out how to open another deck. At least I've outsmarted him this time.

Serious baby -- yes, he's still my baby, even though many may call him a toddler!
