We had a great vacation at the Outer Banks. We left on Saturday morning and came home Wednesday evening. We spent all 5 days in Kill Devil Hills, NC. Kaden spent many hours digging in the sand and enjoyed watching the waves, but wasn't sure about getting in them. I think the cold water was actually what he didn't like, because every night after supper, we would go and sit on the beach (it was wonderful and relaxing) and Kaden would walk all around and would often go right towards the waves. The nights were very peaceful watching Kaden play, listening to him babble to himself, and sitting with Matt on a blanket on the beach. While we were there, we visited Cape Hatteras Lighthouse, the Wright Brothers Memorial, Okracoke Island, rode a ferry, played mini-golf (or should I say attempted mini-golf), saw sand dunes, and had a great time together.
